ENGLAND AND SOUTH AFRICA PLAYERS TO USE CHANCE TO SHINE BAT GRIPS IN FINAL ODI
Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Matt Prior and Jacques Kallis will all be sporting red, green and white bat grips (see below) for the fifth One Day International at Cardiff today to show their support for Chance to shine – the Cricket Foundation’s campaign to regenerate competitive cricket in the country’s state schools.
Slazenger - a Premier Partner for Chance to shine – has supported the campaign since it launched three years ago, supplying coaching equipment and clothing to schools and clubs as well as highlighting the programme through its use of sponsored players.
The company has arranged for its brand ambassadors to use the special bat grips in the current match against South Africa to mark the 200,000th child this year to benefit from Chance to shine.
The charity is delivering comprehensive coaching and competition to 1850 primary and secondary schools and aims to engage two million boys and girls in a third of state schools over 10 years.
